Contingency Management

Contingency Management is a powerful intervention for fostering positive behavior change, particularly in addiction treatment. By leveraging the principles of reinforcement, CM helps individuals build healthier habits and work toward recovery goals. Its effectiveness is well-documented, making it a valuable tool in both clinical and community settings.

Call the phone number on the patient's insurance card and talk with a representative to find treatment programs in their area that is covered by insurance.

Referrals for addiction treatment need to be authorized by the patient's case manager with Veteran Affairs. The quickest way for patients to receive care is for them to drop-in to the San Francisco VA Downtown Clinic for a referral.
